Any moms on Medicaid, my boyfriend has to add our daughter in his insurance for work... Can she be doubled insured ? If not , do I lose my coverage if u can't add her?
Yeah it's a long story but he has to... @michellevaldez4750 .. Which I'm fine with but h don't have a job that I can get insurance through so I still need Medicaid but Jordan's dad thinks the only reason I qualified was because I was pregnant... I thought I met financial standards and the fact I was pregnant just guaranteed it
I know in Wisconsin if you are insured through a job you can't get the state insurance. I think that is bullshit because a lot of insurance through jobs are not all that great so it would b nice to supplement it :-\
but like I said every state is different so you'd want to be in touch with your county office to double check
typically this is handled specifically by your state's Medicaid requirements but generally it's similar so if your state is like most others your coverage (Medicaid) specifically is yours alone meaning you have to meet certain requirements your daughter would be covered under her own Medicaid now that she's born however they still consider parental income when determining if a child is eligible... she can be dually insured as long as the requirements are still met (income) Medicaid would be the primary payer his insurance would be the secondary coverage
@sparklymama, I guess both. Idk if she can be put on my Medicaid if her father needs to put her on his. I don't think they will let her be double insured... And if I can't put her on my Medicaid I'm wondering if I will no longer qualify for Medicaid and lose my benefits...
yeah, it might be an issue to be double insured.
