Most people tell you not to let them sleep in the car seat cause it can actually be a suffocation risk it doesn't matter if they are strapped in or not. a baby shouldn't be placed in a car seat to nap... but thats something I don't wanna get into but if you come home and your baby is sleeping you should keep the straps on anything can happen....
I can provide you with a ton of evidence that a baby sleeping in a car seat is dangerous from reputable sources. you can disagree all you want. but its fact not opinion studies have been conducted. do your search. @edomke

I was told not to leave them buckled in when they are napping in the house because they could suffocate...heard that from a car seat safety class

its not the straps in the incline. chin to chest. the straps have nothing to do with the sufffication risks.
