It can alter the straps in the event of a crash. all car seat manufactioners recommended only using what comes with that seat. Any after market product is dangerous since it has not been tested with that specific seat. Also if you use an after market product and you get into a crash it voids insurance and a new seat will not be covered.

I could see why he seat belt straps can be dangerous. but the cushion by the head gives more support no?
