I waited until I stopped bleeding... I stopped bleeding around 2 1/2 weeks and had sex at 3 weeks pp

they say not to until your PP appointment bc it can take up to 6 weeks for your cervix to close completely and if it's still not fully closed and you have sex or use tampons or do anything that could potentially introduce bacteria into the uterus it can cause infection. it can also cause you to start bleeding again (happened to me twice).

I only waited 4 but that's not ideal

@katarama, I haven't even been bleeding since she was 2 weeks old and she will be 4 weeks saturday

I didn't but I would strongly recommend waiting.
