So apparently my baby is measuring a couple weeks behind so they sent me for an ultrasound today. Ultrasound tech told me everythings developed just right for how many weeks i am and shes perfectly healthy shes just a smaller baby. Thing is though is i just had an appointment yesterday and im 39 weeks today and wont have another appointment till my due date. But they havent checked my cervix at all to see if im almost ready. Shouldnt they have already?

I had 2 sweeps on each pregnancy! I asked for them each time ! Next time you have an appt, write down all your questions and ask the dr (ask for a sweep if you want one too, if you aren't dialated At all they won't be able to do it, and then at least you will know where you're at)
I'm sorry you're going through this! I'm sure everything will be fine but I totally understand feeling out of the loop. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to check the baby's growth because the nurse at my Dr's office keeps insisting baby is small but the doctors keep saying I'm on track. had an ultrasound at 30 wks and the nurse was wrong. now we're getting another ultrasound at 35 weeks because the nurse's measurements were behind again. Sigh. pregnancy is so stressful. anyway. I hope all goes well for you. Best of luck!
I wasn't checked until my due date .. your doctors are acting like all doctors. You gotta ask questions to get answers ... I've experienced this is even Cancer doctors and such.
@mizharleyquinn199, I wasn't told anything either they usually don't unless you ask. With my first pregnancy I didn't know so I didn't ask much and got told even less. This time around I asked everything and took matters in to my own hands. They don't usually check you unless you ask and some Drs won't do sweeps unless you request one. Don't be afraid to ask questions if you want answers.
Just feel out of the loop from my own pregnancy. Dont like my drs, i dont get told anything. I dont know how many pounds my baby is rn cause they dont share info, i go in and get measured/weighed/and my urine tested for protein. And thats it. @brynsmommie was the sweep your last pregnancy or current one?
They measured my bump and also gave me an ultrasound and said she was small @loving-life
I had to ask to be checked at 38 weeks and I wasn't dialated! At 39 weeks I asked for a sweep and I was dialated to 3cm and then 5 days later I asked for another sweep and I was at 4 cm. def take it into your own hands and ask your dr to check you if you're curious😄
