Last night was.... Horrible. For the first time since having my babe, I had to walk away. He wouldn't stop crying & when he did it was only for 5 minutes or less. Finally I just laid him down and told my husband "figure it out!" & walked away. I could hear him talking, so when I came back Arlo was calm and just laying there...I gave him a bottle and rocked him, he knocked out finally. Now I feel bad and like I abandoned him for 5 minutes, lol.
I have to walk away sometimes. All of us gets frustrated! It's good to walk away and calm down! There's times I just leave him in his bassinet and I walk out and just breath. If you know they're fed and changed and everything, you're not doing anything wrong!
I used to work In the nicu and have seen many cases of babies with shaken syndrome and babies passed away from being shaken. It's a sad situation because when you are in that moment of I can't do this some people cracker and some walk away. crying won't hurt baby if they are not in need of anything.
@mommapam, @deckroth2001 Thanks you guys, I try not to get frustrated and try being understanding but being exhausted and trying to be understanding got a little hard. I felt bad but I know I had to walk away and come back with a positive vibe. I didn't realize how hard being a mother can be, mentally.
you did the right thing!! I'm proud of you. It's hard, and we don't give ourself enough credit when it comes to doing the right thing! @arlogreyson
Aww don't feel bad, we all get frustrated as moms sometimes.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
finally found him!
My husband hasn't seen or spoken to his father since he was a kid. About 12 years ago he walked out.
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Creeped out!
A new guy at work just tickled the back of my neck! I cringed and told him "Don't ever touch me, that weirds me out!" On Monday he pulled my braid as I was grabbing parts for him, I also told him don't ever do that. Ugh. I don't feel comfortable working with him EVER! A coworker told me that when she walked past he said "what's cooking good looking". I feel he doesn't deserve to work here. I can't feel like I'm going to be harassed at work. Like who does that?? I'm so creeped ou...
Scariest time of my life today. Walking home from my mother in laws and an Asian man tried to grab me! So lucky I had my dog with me as he went to bite him and I managed to get away. Police are looking for CCTV of it I just hope they can find him 😭 please be careful when walking alone ladies I don’t know what I’d of done if I hadn’t of had my staffie with me!
@arlogreyson, I've had to walk away alot of times so its okay to do that. Go somewhere quiet and calm down anytime your feeling frustrated and I promise you will feel a lot better when you come back. Being a mom can get very exhausting trust me I know exactly how your feeling.
