Question about delay cord cutting. If having a C section, can they still wait in cutting the cord for me? Also my baby has Single umbilical artery, so I'm not sure if that will mess with the whole process or not? when I go into the hospital Wednesday to have my c section I'll talk to my doctor then. But I did like to know now also and some questions I should ask.

Most cords have one vein and two arteries, mine only has one vein and one artery. The vein carries oxygen to the baby and the arteries takes things from the baby to the placenta... So the one artery is working twice as hard @dang_dridri

I've never even heard of it, what is it exactly? I mean my twins share an umbilical cord, like its forked at the top which is rare also.

Same here... I've never met anyone with the cord problem so I don't have anyone to ask about it :/

You can still do it for a c section, I'm not sure about the single cord thing though.

No judgements pls, but I am absolutely petrified of giving birth (and also extremely squeamish). My whole life I always said when I got pregnant, I would have a c-section. Well, now that it's almost time, I have no idea what to do 😭 I would really love to talk to mamas who've had a Cesarean by choice.. I don't have anyone in "real life" to talk to about this at all and it's really getting to me. (*ALSO* I have a pretty large dermoid cyst on my ovary that they want to remove during a c-section if I have one. If I have a vaginal birth, I may end up needing abdominal surgery a few months later anyways..)
