Having a hard time deciding when to break the news to my family. My spouse just recently lost his father and the funeral
is actually today. We are pretty sure we are going to share the news to his step mother and younger brother after the funeral as they are going to be moving away. My side of the family on the other hand, we are very close to, but can't seem to decide when to tell them. It almost feels too soon, but today is my Mother's birthday and what better way to celebrate than to share the news of a second grandchild on the way. I know there is a custom of "wait till 12 weeks to to share" but we are both so excited for this happy news, we want to scream it to the world.
any advice?

I understand your hesitation. I'm feeling the same way right now. I keep trying to hint so people will guess and I don't have to wait 3months. But the stress of hiding it can be hard on you as well. I would suggest don't force it, if it's what you want to do let them know while also letting them know how much you care about the other stuff going on. Your family is your best support system <3
