got told today after giving birth to my baby in the pool she will need to have a BCG injection straight away, so much…

Yh my babies have bcg injection too but here they give it at 5 weeks in clinic, because my hubby is from kurdistan and i always say we dont know who is covered and who isnt, so i always get them done just to be on safe side, it never really bothered them tbh, they had a lump a few weeks and then it went or popped and was left with a little scar xx if i could have it done at birth i would @lauramorg xx

@lauren1996, when I went for my 34 week scan they estimated baby to be 4lb 7oz, told me she was small but not small enough to be concerned about. Hope that helps X

@lauramorg Ahh that makes more sense hun xxx As a newborn she probably wont really notice it tbh...xD And unlike the first injections they get...there's no reactions you have to worry about xxx

@winterbaby95, I have no idea, all she said was that she will need a bcg injection because my baby is going to be half Indian an if she is past between a lot of Indian people who go to India a lot but haven't had there injections before they go could be carrying the virus or something because it's really high in India apparently so when she comes out she will have the needle in her arm, which I don't mind because a lot of the older generation in my boyfriends family are always in India an I doubt they have there vaccinations before they go xxx

@lauramorg Never heard of them doing it after birth? How comes? Normally they get it at 6 weeks before their first jabs...or before they are a year old xx

@winterbaby95, ohhhh okay they said they will do it about an hour or so after she's born, that's it no one else is allowed to hold her, only mummy cuddles for her 😂💖

@lauramorg Yeah...it got a raised bump within a few weeks....She got hers when she was about 10 weeks though...she is 6 months and it still hasnt healed...it takes a long time apparently! it can take months xxx

@winterbaby95, that's good then! did it blister after they had done the needle ? And @lauren1996 I wouldn't worry too much about the measurements because when I was 33 weeks I was measuring 32 weeks but today im 35 weeks and measuring 35 weeks, there never on point with the measuring so don't worry hun xxx

See they worried me today, as I'm 32 weeks on Monday and they said he's measuring roughly at 34 weeks and about 4pound something @lauramorg xxx

Maya had the her BCG :) wasn't bad at all :) She also had the Vitamin K and had to have the heel prick test 7 times within a few days because of jaundice xxc

@lauren1996, at 33 weeks she weighed about 4 pound 14oz but that was only worked out from converting it from the centile graph in the green maternity book xxx

So your 3 weeks more than me then? @lauramorg did you know how much she weighted roughly at almost 32 weeks? Xxx

she doesn't have to have the injection of vitamin K I think she can have it orally aswell but she would need 2 doses I think. But it will be done not long after she is born then you can give her lots of cuddles to make her forget about it all :) xxx

@briony1994, she has to have the vitamin k injection aswell, so many needles 😩 she will have to have lots of cuddles haha 💖 xx

My little girl had the vitamin K injection when she was born and she didn't even notice so fingers crossed she will be ok xxx
