I feel with my second pregnant that I haven't been given any advice during midwife appointments.
She has literally just measured my bump and tested my urine.
I have my 38 week appointment tomorrow.
What should I expect/ ask etc please?
It's been 5 years since I was last pregnant!
I'm the same I'm 38 weeks on Sat and they have never mentioned any labour signs or doing a birth plan they just measure me, test my urine and send me on my way.
I'm due the 6th of September with my first and I haven't gotten any help from midwives really. They haven't discussed labour or gone over my birth plan or told me about anything to look out for. The only thing they've discussed on several occasions is breastfeeding. I had to learn everything else from my own research and antenatal classes. It's sort of pathetic really xx
@titch.82, my midwife only went through my birth plan with me last week. I don't think you and I are that far apart. I'm due 6th Sept xx
I'm 36 weeks with my first and that's what all my appointments have been like. Havnt even discussed my birth plan so I've just done it myself. It's been really disappointing!!x
It's so bad. I even had to find out about the whooping cough vaccine from a friend as this was introduced the year after my daughter was born.
Midwife always mentions there is protein in my wee but never eludes to why. Then made a whole fuss saying I may of had preeclampsia- again, with no explanation of what this is or means.
I'm over the lack of care how and just want my bubba x
