idk why it frustrates me so much when other people name their baby the same thing as my son. we chose Riley bc it hasn't been popular the last few years and I literally had not seen one person that wanted that name. but now that my son is 3 months I have seen like 10 people naming their babies that. boys and girls. it just irritates me a little , guess I'm being petty. oh well.
I'm 23 years old and my name is Riley 😂 it definitely wasn't popular when I was a kid. I used to get so upset when I couldn't find my name on key chains or ornaments. Lmao. I've noticed it blown up within the past few years. Apparently it ranks #20 in top #100 baby names nowadays
yeah but that's a different generation. I am only paying attention to people that are the same age as my son , the kids he will be going to school with one day @quansmommyy
That name is kind of common . I went to grade school with quite a few people named that boys and girls
I'm so overprotective of the name Eli. I really do understand. 😂
lol yeah I totally get it, that's how I am, I named my daughter Chloe, back in 07 and so far in school she's only the 2nd Chloe, & that girl isn't in her grade. I felt so accomplished, then same with my boys, Michael and Myles they have yet to share a name, but I have a feeling Mason won't be so lucky. My name is Mara, so I never had that problem. Lol
lol thank you ! I'm glad I'm not the only one. we really liked Noah at first but it was the number 1 name on every popular name list we looked at for the past couple years so we decided to find a less common name and we both fell in love with Riley. and now that he's born he totally looks like a Riley lol like I couldn't imagine calling him any other name. I just don't want him to have a bunch of kids in his class with the same name when he's in school. I hated that growing up. I had 2 other samanthas in my class so we all fought over who was called Sam Sammy or Samantha lol @soontobemomof4
I'm the same way! I know what you mean! I've wanted to use the name Mason since my oldest son who was born in 2009, BUT it was so popular we didn't use it, same with my second son born in 11, still too popular, now here we are, my 3rd son, his name is Mason!🙌🏻 woohoo! Finally! But now I'm starting to see it again! 😞 it's whatever though, a name is name. Lol
yeah I know, I just wanted his name to be unique I guess. oh well lol @rylees_mommy
That is usually what happens you don't pay attention to it until , same thing I haven't noticed the name until I named her but oh well it's just a name ..
yeah that's true. its just like my whole pregnancy we didn't announce it bc we wanted to wait and see if we for sure were naming him that and I didn't see anyone else show interest in it and now all of a sudden I see it everywhere lol @cookiemonster1216
Riley is also the little girls name in Inside Out, so that might have brought some attention to the name.

Reasons why I should have my son taken away from me for neglect:
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Am I wrong for telling my Bd that because we not Married my baby don't have to have his last name? He really got mad and told me I was project n ignorant. Crazy part is I was thinking about giving my baby his middle and last name
So I'm thinking of baby girl names , because I pray that baby number two is a girl 👑
My son's name is Eli & I would like for her to have an "E" name like my son.
So far I have three I like
Elle
Eva
Eliza
Short, simple and unique 😍 Any more you ladies can think of besides Elizabeth lol ?
lol yeah I feel like it never has been a super popular name ! but now all of a sudden it is getting more common but I didn't notice it until after I named my son lol. I think its an awesome name for a boy or girl, I just want my son to be the only Riley in his classes when he's older ! haha @mommypoppins
