can't stand girls who are capable of breastfeeding not even try it and give there baby formula as soon as there born and then wondering why there kid is always crying from a upset stomach. smh. sorry just pisses me of how some girls don't want what's best for there kids because they wanna go drink and be dumb.
Some ppl just don't want to. It would be nice if breastfeeding was the more popular choice and on preggie it seems to be but just looking at the rows and rows of formula on store shelves says it just not. hopefully now that more celebrity mom's are advocating for normalizing breastfeeding more ppl will at least start to think about it. But it's not always the fault of the mom, when I was 18 I had my first baby. I never even tried to breastfeed him, nobody told me I should, even the ppl at wic back then automatically just assumed I'd give formula and that was that. It's different now, wic tries to get ppl to at least give the colostrum for the first few days.
And I can tell you this, I was very uneducated with my firstborn. Like I didn't even know anything. Yea, put the baby in the boob, should be fine. Sooooooo..... Us thinking she wouldn't get enough, we supplemented with formula and I never wish I did, like seriously. Her stomach would get sooooo upset, she was gassy, threw everything right back up and was extremely colicky. We didn't make that connection right away and when we did, it was too late and I was dried up cause I fed her more formula. Lesson learned. My baby now is EBF and we're on 7 months on Friday.
I was literally just thinking this today! It is ok if breastfeeding or pumping doesn't work out. But at least try for gods sake! I'm reading this so often here, females who are still pregnant asking how they can dry up their milk once baby is born, or they don't even wanna pump cause it hurts, or they wanna go out and party and get waisted or high as fu@#. Breastmilk is free people and it's the best you can give your child. I know fed is best, but breast is best in this case. I'm sure some don't even know how much formula costs! And yes, breastfeeding isn't for everyone, but one can't say they don't like if if they haven't tried it. And if it still doesn't work out in the end, be proud that you've tried! But don't just choose formula cause you're lazy. Urgh..... This topic gets me so heated. I hate ignorant people lol
Breastfeeding isn't for everyone but I agree to an extent. I think everyone should at least try if they're able to do so. There's no shame in formula feeding if for any reason breastfeeding doesn't work out though.
My MIL keeps asking why I breastfeed when it's so challenging and I don't get to do anything. Like really I know what formula does, I've seen it first hand with my cousins baby. Just because you didn't breastfeed your son doesn't mean I don't want to breastfeed my daughter
