Sounds like a stupid question but how do you know the difference between contractions and period like cramps? Had my sweep done today and induction starts on Friday if my sweep doesn't bring on natural labour

I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.

They are basically the same hun :) because during a period your uterus is contracting to expell the blood... and during labour...its contracting to expell the baby xxx Although contractions can be more intense...at first my contractions were mild period type cramps that turned into intense pressure/tightening which was uncomfortable xx
