do Dr's recommend membrane sweep? I don't think I want one but when I say constipation is crazy and nothing that's natural is working. I might just do it or let then induce me on my due date and not a day before.

in order to have your membrane swept do you have to be dilated?

I asked my doctor when I was over 40 weeks and she said she doesn't do them... She said some doctors will if you're dilated but doesn't necessarily start things

I had mine sweeped with my second when I was 39 weeks and I was 2cm and went into labor the next day.

my doctor actually told me about it and I didn't know I could have it done. I was 37 weeks and 3cm dilated. when she suggested it I was all for it. three days of contractions later my water broke, waking me up at 3:30 in the morning. had my son in the afternoon.

I had it done twice with my first born. once at 37-38 weeks it didn't do anything. again at 39 weeks while I was 3cm and went into labor right after.
