Hi. So my OB put me on birth control for a couple months to try to bring back my period and cycles with pcos; Clomid is the next step for us if this didn't work. I am heartbroken because the pill, even if giving my pms symptoms, has not been effective in even giving me a period back. I am only 23. I am feeling so disheartened. We haven't even been able to start truly TTC because I don't even ovulate anymore (I stopped getting my menses around March 2016). Has anyone had a similar experience? What has worked for you?

I wasn't ovulating either...they actually gave me something to start my period but I forget what it was called...it was years ago...then was put on clomid. it took 4 years on clomid...6 years total...and one miscarriage but we finally have our little girl. my don't give up! it may take a few cycles to get the right dose of clomid that will help you ovulate but just keep at it and it will happen....hopefully soon.

Aw thank you for sharing your story with me ❤️ so Clomid itself doesn't give you a period back, just helps you ovulate?

yes...but when you ovulate you will get you period after...after the 1st period they started with meds and I ovulated with clomid, I was pretty regular. I ovulated around day 19 each month...which is later then the normal 14 days but that is how my body worked I guess and had my period 2 weeks after like normal...I could eventually predict the day I would get it lol which was new to me.
