my son will be 3 months old on the 15th. his belly button doesn't seem to be fully healed....like it never sealed. suggestions? similar experiences? please?!

I believe that's normal jj had a little discharge too just keep it clean and take him to the doctors if it's like he probably will only need one or two treatments

@jjsmommyjj711, should I be worried if it has yellowish gunk caked around it? it isn't a lot, but it's noticeable when you change his clothes or something. that's the only reason I noticed it, I was cleaning it today after realizing there was stuff in it and discovered it isn't sealed.

it might have fallen off early jj had his showing for like 2 months + because they would do silver nitrate treatments but never fully get it on the whole pice that needed to dry out..they did it like. 5 times and sent us to get an ultrasound to make sure it wasn't his bladder sticking out and we seem a dermatologist to make sure it wasn't anything else either. .it eventually dried up....and the silver nitrate stains

that happen to my first born but he was admitted for umbilical sepsis no matter how clean I kept it and I suffer from OCD it got infected. he last 9 days on antibiotics he was 3 weeks old
