Having breastfeeding blues bad
• My freakin nipples are huge and somewhat flat I can never get a good latch the first time •She doesn't like to open her mouth wide most of the time
• It's hard for us to get into a good position because my breast are so large and heavy I have to hold it while feeding her so it's not laying on her
•I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do this when I'm not home ugh I just don't know...
@mommytoabel, And I have an account with them so I will be looking for one is there a certain one that you like so maybe I can look at that one first
@jaeparm, Yeah that's the only way I can get a latch is if I make a sandwich with the boob
I usually find a place with an arm rest or a table top to use for some support. If you have a baby sling those help a ton! You can carry them around and nurse at the same time.
if she's not latching onto the areola very much. you can try making a c with your hand and kinda smooshing your boob flat when latching her on
@jaeparm, That's interesting you mentioned a shallow latch I'm sure that may be what my daughter have going on how do I know if she does?
@jaeparm, The on top won't work my breast is so heavy they fall off to the sides when on my back but we love our side nursing
@mommytoabel, Thanks mommy and yes that's the most comfortable and me laying on my sides and how do you do it when in public? I usually have to pile pillows up to lay her on
does laying on your back with baby on top of you work? or laying on your side? my baby has a shallow latch at first because she had a small mouth but with lots of practice and some growing in her part it got better.
If you are large breasted like I am I find that the football hold helps with latch as well. I hope it helps!
@mommytoabel, Next session I will do that thanks hun I'm trying to get all the tips and tricks I can I don't want to give up but it's hard right now
Not particularly. I had a free one from 7 slings that worked well. I also have a boba wrap thy works great and you can breastfeed in those too.
