Breastfeeding Questions...

My baby is 2 days old today and I could not get her to latch so she has been taking a bottle but I'm still getting drops out of my breasts. I was wondering if I go home today and start pumping if I would be able to get a supply going even though I'm not breastfeeding at the moment and just pump milk that she can drink from a bottle?

I pump and than give it through a bottle. Kinda nice bc others can help you feed the baby! Everyone has their own way of doing it

yes. do lots of skin to skin! pump every 2 hours. you could also try a nipple shield.

hi its not to late to get her to latch...my sister finally got her son to latch at 4 weeks..but definitely pump every two hrs from morning to night..i pumped for a whole yr for my son because he did not latch and i didnt take the time to make him latch because i was so frustrated..if i could do it all over again i would of made him lacth on..but with my next baby i will...pumping exclusively is a hassle you constantly have to wash pump parts over and over.. when its so much easier to just put a tit in the baby mouth lol

Did you see a lactation consultant for her latch? I believe there's also YouTube vids for it too

Yes pump every two hours for a couple days and don't get frustrated if it's not a lot 😊 good luck

Sure. I mean, I'm no expert, but if you're still lactating and the pump works for you, then do it! Doesn't hurt to try, if that's what you want! :-)
