what can i do my son stopped latching on i had to pump so he could eat

Try a nipple shield. Is he toungue tied or lip tied? My son has a toungue tie so he struggled to eat and had trouble latching on so he would stop but then I kept putting him on over and over and now I'm doing both breast feeding and bottle feeding.

i just bottle feed now so he can eat we struggled for 2 hrs. i am going to try again when its time for next feeding

@sophia713, don't give up believe me its hard.I almost did and it was harder on me to get on it again. Try to check if his lip or toungue are attached that could make him struggle if not then he was probably not really wanting any or didn't want to work for it. My son does that too where he latches off but I give him the bottle and he drinks it.

have you talked with a lactation consultant?

I had to use a nipple shield for a little bit. in about a week he got back to normal but he refused without the shield for a little bit.
