My SOs dad says to me over and over again, "you should get out more with Phillip, I had so much fun taking my kids out when they were little!" Yea they were like 5 and 7 years old when you took them out allll the time. Phillip can't even walk yet. Should I just stroller him around all day just to "be out" when he has to go down for naps and bf and eat?? Cuz being out is so much fun for him right now, right?? It's not like I don't do anything all day. I get out and see friends and family all the time. We go shopping together and do normal people things.. We just don't go out EVERY SINGLE DAY. He's getting on my last nerve :(

jjs a year old and my mom keeps saying I need to take him out...but how it's either too hot or raining.

my mom made me get my son out a lot when he was first born cause I needed to get used to it and it's good for their immune systems. I take him everywhere now, he naps in his stroller or in the car.

@madibug96, I mean I get out to do normal things and when I go out Phillip comes with me. This man just wants me to go out just to get out of the house. Like no purpose other than to just be out haha we go shopping together, see friends and family. He is just out 24/7 because he's a single 75 year old man. To not go out at least once a day for him is just crazy haha

@jjsmommyjj711, right? It's too hot for them to be out all day long! If I have to go out like for groceries or something then I take him with me wherever I go. But to go out just to leave the house, there's is no point!

@madibug96, lol that's what I thought until I met him. He literally leaves the house at 9 in the morning and doesn't come home until 9 at night! I don't know where he finds the energy!

even though I hate staying home all day and I'd love to take jj to the park it's too hot

@jjsmommyjj711, see that's what's even more frustrating. There's a park in our neighborhood that I take Phillip to all the time. But we don't stay for longer than and hour or so because of the heat. And to my SOs dad, that's not doing much at all. Like I tell him all the time that we go on walks and go to the park. But he still literally thinks we still don't do anything.

I'd be like I'm sorry but I'm not letting my kid get heat stroke because you think it's ok to bake in the sun...kids can get skin cancer like that. ..from years of sun exposure
