Is anyone else dead protective over their baby? My OH has a big family and they all want to come and see her which I get…

Wow! I'd of flipped, I won't let summers dad take her out on her own yet because I don't want to leave her, I left her at home with him to go to the cash point round the corner and even that was hard :( they shouldn't be pressurising you tho and your OH should be supportive of you @daniluvsdis xx

@briony1994, I know!! The #y said 'we thought we'd take Harry out for a walk then you can have some sleep.' I just said nah I'm not tired! (I was) then they said 'oh okay well still take him out!' So I said I'll come with you! Then I got 'why do you not trust us with him?' Making me feel bad! Then the other day my OH wanted to take him into town to meet his mate & I said can I not come with you! He said no my mate wants a lads chat about something! So I said Harry stays here then! & again it was 'I can do things with my own son, will I never be allowed to do things on my own!' Yes! But im just not ready to leave him yet! They keep trying to pressurise me!! Yeh it's nice to pop out but only in little bits! Like you did!!xxx

Wow @daniluvsdis I don't know how you cope!! I banned my OHs family coming round at once there's 5 of them too, as if you felt like you had to go out after just a week :O your meant to rest and take it steady at your own pace! After a week I went out to my OHs work with her to show her off then back home, I wouldn't of been able to cope with a walk, don't know how you haven't killed one of them yet xx

@chesscalouise2, sounds just like my mil the worst my mil did was when summer cried she went oh she's hungry and I can't even feed her because your breast feeding, but selfish that not letting anyone else feed her...I was like I beg your bloody pardon?! MILs are just so bloody rude I think xx

@han3816, I'm with you! Unannounced visitors makes me want to hurl a brick at their face, like I'm sat there with my boobs out...please leave!! It's rude tho that she doesn't even think to leave when other people come, I'd be going mad xx

@briony1994, I'm exactly the same! My Parent-in-laws come round and pick him up straight away even if he's asleep! We had all my OH brothers and sisters round one of the first few days (5 of them) and his parents and it was like pass the parcel! He got half way round and I had to sit in the kitchen a pretend I was doing something coz it was making me mad! It made Harry get all hot & bothered coz he was being passed around so much! I've limited the number of visitors that come at once now! Although we had four yesterday so it seems to be creeping back up! My OH and his parents keep pressurising me to leave him too! They don't understand why they can't take him for a walk on their own or I need to see a dentist why I don't just leave him at their house whilst I go! They asked every day this week if we want to go out & they'll have Harry! No!! Im not ready to leave him yet! He's only 17 days old! He was only a week old and I 'had' to go on a walk with them as I felt like I couldn't tell them they couldn't take him without me! It's horrible! I'm so protective too!!xxx

@briony1994 been here the mil and other halfs family turning up unannounced not even knocking just walking in picking my baby up without asking twice this happened my daughter was 2/3 weeks old now 20 weeks old they haven't seen her since I told them the first time and it happened again people need to respect you and your new life, you know what's best for your child I'd just let your partner and them know how it is and if they don't like it then they don't need to be apart of your life xx

I'm like this with William, my mil just turns up and takes him from my other half, I tend to hold on to him and if she asks I'll say he's due a feed soon so she has to give him back, at least my family ask and respect that if I say no but she likes to hang on to him and with the turning up unannounced I wanna scream, she doesn't even leave when I have other visitors come Xx

I think if he dares steps foot out this house I'll go mad, he's made me some food now, chicken and chips but still food I guess :/ summers asleep now so I'm heading to bed soon, sleep deprivation doesn't suit me haha @donzi.harri cx

oh god.. that's not good... my midwife told me I needed a extra 400 calories a day.. you need food that's more important for u and summer.. kick him out.. make him go to the pub... then I can munch on xx

So hard to keep my calm at the minuet! He's got his mates round, they are drinking, got music blasting and I've not even eaten today but can't cook owt because it's 'rude' I'm fuming @donzi.harri xx

aww hun its so hard, babies r pretty tough... Im pretty chilled with my other kids they r always picking him up and the eldest even carries him down the staires for me when he wakes... with my first I had a panic attack when someone put their finger in his mouth... now I'm a tad laid back.. honestly it will ease up hunni.. xx

My step son has just held her for the first time! She got passed to him! Sat there shaking scared he was going to hurt her, didn't even hold her head properly, can't believe how protective I am!! @donzi.harri xx

it doesn't get any easier and I'm on baby no 3... lol I have grin and beared it tbh.. its tough especially when he cries.. I just wanna tell them they can look and not touch... baby stage goes so quick I just want to enjoy it all to myself.. people just don't get it... its perfectly normal hun... xx

It pisses me off so much especially because when she was born I got took away from her to go to theatre and then doctors kept taking her off me so they could do tests and stuff on me so now I'm like she's my baby and I want her!! OHs family just pick her up out her bouncer aswell if she's asleep, literally makes me want to cry @leigh-amyxo @kmcf2302 @daisysmummy xx

Oh god, I absolutely hate it when Daisy gets passed around! We had a family bbq recently and mum was holding Daisy for a while, which I have no problem with, gives me a break 😂 but then she started passing her around and I wanted her back but she was being passed from person to person 😩 we get stopped a lot in the street and strangers touch her arms or feet and I swear, I'm ready to attack 😂😂

@briony1994, I would just walk over to them and say something like " aww look who's a hungry baby " and then just lift her out their arms 😂 there's no other way about it. Establish it now and you'll feel better xx

tell them she's your baby so pass her back when you want her xx
