I'm wondering did u ladies feel like cooking when ur baby was days old? our boy will arrive soon and I can't help but to wonder am I going to feel like prepping food and making dinner in the first days. Or will I even have time. I plan to breastfeed so I know that will take lots of time. What did u ladies do? Should I start stocking the freezer with casseroles? But then I worry about if I will be able to eat it while breastfeeding?
My boyfriend doesn't like pasta and I don't like really like soup lol but thank you! Also we're going to be eating clean so mostly chicken, some rice and lots of veggies. @studio.ghibli.mom23
I don't have time to do a lot of things but my babies father is gone all week for work so that is most likely why
@sarinunez, yes I do that with my rice now it helps to always have it on hand I meal prep now but I still have to warm my oven and stove and somewhat prepare and I guess I'm just worried I won't have the time.
Soup spaghetti Alfredo and like @sarinunez said cook a big enough meal to last a few days I have one for you that will last from 3-5 days it's something my husband makes I'll inbox it to you
It was so much free time I was honestly concerned. Lol. But the doctor said it was normal.
I plan on seasoning meat and veggies and freezing them, also cooking enough rice to last a few days. I meal prepped when I was working out before I got pregnant.
My baby slept and ate the first week and that's all she did really. I honestly had a lot of free time.
@jgarciamua, yea I had mentioned it to some family but honestly I don't think to many people wanna cook for us bc I won't eat anything processed and most of my family eat unhealthy. We don't have to much family near by but I'm sure my MIL will help if I need it also I have a ton of beans I canned while back. Maybe I will find some ideas on Pinterest.
The first days will be tricky but then you will get a hang of it. I think its easier when family members take you food. I didnt have any of that but i assume its easier as a new mommy. @txyogagirl
@jgarciamua, I hope I have time to cook my husband will only be off for 24 days in the beginning but I don't expect him to cook although he probably would but easy stuff. Hopefully I can while he cares for baby. @geekymomma13 @herecomesbbnum3 @deckroth2001 yes I will have to look on Pinterest I guess freezing is probably the way to go I freeze stuff now but I worry bc if I make large casseroles like I do now then I cant eat that bc of breast feeding.
@txyogagirl, Hun you're gonna wanna go ahead and cook and freeze while your nesting it's what I'm gonna do
When my baby was a couple days old i had time to cook while she slept. Id cook something quick and i had left over for the next day. Then when my husband would come from work he will help me with the baby while ill cook :)
what she said^ plus look on pinterest for recipes, some only need like 5-10 ingredients so they are super easy and no freezer and reheating meals
I prepared food before and froze it the best way I could it was the best decision I made because with my daughter my granny cooked for me after and my hubs can't really cook cook but even if u feel like cooking cleaning trust me just rest and let your body heal and just take your time . hope all goes well 😀
