Any advice ladies. im viewing a flat today at 5 and my OH has told me not to mention I'm pregnant so have to try hide bump. said we can tell them once we have our foot in the door. I hate lying about these things but it's so hard when they judge you straight away without even meeting you first just cos your pregnant. x ?? you think it's best to keep quiet for now? xx
I've heard a few people on here say when looking a few landlords didn't want kids/babies @zozo87 I don't understand why. Children don't destroy property. Animals & or irresponsible people do! Lol I wouldn't feel right lying and Suzie is right if they don't want children they may decide 6months/1yr when your tenancy is up to boot you out then. Which would cause more aggravation for you.
Having a tiny baby helped us with getting our place, she said that we are young and if we didn't have a baby and seem 'put together' she wouldn't have accepted us as easily, she also said that she loved the thought of a young family growing up there. :)
That's ok Hun I think your right rather be a new mum than a load of party goers 😂
That's what I said we are looking to build a home. or would they rather some party flat sharers. I'm going to tell partner we have to tell her or her can go without me.. Thanks for your advice xx
@zozo87, not sure how you being pregnant is a bad thing for a tenancy? I mean landlords are usually looking for a good tenant who will be looking to stay and be responsible. Whos more likely to be long term and responsible than 2 adults starting a family? I wouldn't hide it xx
That's how I feel. I think we should tell her once she's met us at the viewing that way she has met us and can judge us from that
I wouldn't because if they had an issue with your pregnancy that's there issue and tbh it doesn't stop them booting u out with notice 6 months down the line if they did have an issue. I wouldn't be hiding that
well when we called her I'm sure I heard a kid in the background so if she has kids she may understand how hard xx
