My son has that same toy and I do sing songs and stuff like that he will poke my nose and my lips and I will tell him what they are. I just don't want him to get behind. And he watches only educational cartoon such as ABCs and counting cartoons. I just want to make sure I'm not screwing up lol. He is very smart. He just turned a year though. So I think I'm doing okay... @eskawho

I read to my daughter all the time and show her different animals...her favorite is the duck lol and sing with her...she loves old mcdonalds. counting...when I hand her things or she hands me stuff I will count or say the color. right now she is really into the stacking cups and puzzle type stuff so I will ask her to grab the red cup...stuff like that. she also has the bucket of shapes so we do each one...I say the shape and color and she will fit the shape in the right hole. for body parts I just show her...I will have her wash my face or hands with a wipe. she also has a toy puppy that is labeled with different parts...it sings and stuff. I just try to incorporate learning while playing...she does pick up on stuff pretty quick...she's 16 months. she responds to song so I make stuff up or look for different songs such as "head shoulders knees and toes"
