Would it be a good idea to take a newborn to the beach? I'm due on the 30thnof August but I'm not allowed to go full term due to GD so he will probably be here around the 23rd. My family is going to the beach September 10th for a week. We would be staying in a beach house. Good idea or no?

I really wouldn't take your 2 week old to the beach. it's been extremely hot and especially in august and September. I can't bring myself to take my 2 month old because it is just SO HOT. But my doctor did clear us to use sunscreen. he said there's nothing different between a 2 month olds skin and a 6 month olds. I assume the same goes for a 2 week old. but keep your baby in the shade for most of it. babies do need vitamin d from the sun but I wouldn't recommend taking him out in the middle of the day, probably later in the evening. again, it's just really really hot outside for a 2 week old

Don't go out all day, but go and have fun
I don't think I would.. Maybe a quick walk down, snap a couple pics, and then head back to the house?
got to keep baby shaded up real good since you can't use sunscreen till 6 months. that's what I did. but she was born in Feb here in WA so not many sunny days but when we do I keep her as shaded and cool as possible
I personally wouldn't. But I tend to keep my babes in for the first 3-4 weeks as much as possible
