Why would someone buy you a car, but want it in their name..... Its pointless, its not even your car...... Yes its ungrateful, but seriously... I'd rather buy my own than have it in someone else's name......

Its from a personal seller (craigslist) so yes if it was to build credit, i wouldnt mind. He just wants it to be in his name so he can call it his. @futuremrspost

Hes got 4 already (2 dont even run) and i have nothing. so now he'll have 5 and ill still have nothing. ill drive it sure but im still getting my own down the line.

exactly!!!!!! My bf wants to do this for me since i sold my car to pay for the down payment on our house, but he said its going in his name. Um i dont want it then!? Ive bought him 3 cars and all of them he had in his name, he buys me 1 and wants it in his name. Technically it isnt mine then, so he can do whatever to it and leave me with nothing. So basically im going from nothing to nothing. Sorry little rant of frustration....
see I been in so many bad position that the only reason I would think of is that they want to buy you a car and put it under their name so they can take the car from you whenever they want. "ground you" like you're a child.
How/why do you buy a car EVERY year with your tax refund?? I know people can spend their money how they want...no judgement, u can buy 1,000 packs of skittles...but I know 2 ppl who has bought a car EVERY tax season for the last 3 years!! Like stop buying buckets and spend a little more for a better car or put a down payment on one. I just think that's a waste of money.
