Do any other women have issues with pumping? I make plenty of milk for my daughter to breastfeed, but when I try to pump.. Nothing. 😔 It's getting frustrating, because I need to have bottles for her when I'm not available to have her on the breast.
@babes101116, @liamisaiah I've been using the same pump and accessories since my daughter was born ( 4 months ago) and when she was first born I never had any problems pumping. I could pump 2-3 ounces in one sitting and now I just get less than an ounce. Could that still be because of the flange?
Massaging your breasts could help extract a little bit more milk. But it's normal to not pump as much as you can do in a feeding. You can also hand express after you finish your pumping session, and use a warm washcloth over your chest to see if that helps.
you just don't have overproduction or extra milk. if you nurse with no problem that's all the milk your body needs to make. so nothing is wrong.
Same with me, I nurse great but cannot pump. Research flange size, that could help.
you just don't make extra milk. that's fine only problem with it is not being able to store milk. pump after she eats every time and your supply can go up or power pump
Ladies I called my insurance about breast pump and they said with their insurance in order to get a pump I get a prescription from doctor then I call 3 different numbers to see what my insurance covers but the only thing is I have to wait til baby is born to call and get pump so I want to at least buy a hand pump which do you ladies recommend for hand pump and when I can get a pump from insurance please n thank you 💖💖
