Something that seriously gets my blood boiling... do not try to self induce before 37 weeks!!! 37 weeks is still pushing it, but to each their own. Elliot was born at 37 weeks 3 days via emergency c section, he weighed 5lbs 9oz, he was tiny and they estimated him weighing 6lbs 1oz. He was on oxygen due to the cord being around his neck. We're all uncomfortable during the end of our pregnancies, wanting your baby born early just because you're uncomfortable is incredibly selfish. You knew what you were getting into when you got pregnant, 40 weeks.

I was so uncomfortable in labor for five days and had her on the sixth. But I didn't even think of induction because I went to 40 weeks and the pain and suffering was worth having the healthiest baby possible !!

Exactly! I would've loved to keep E in longer, but he got himself all tangled up in there so he had to come out early! If you have a healthy pregnancy and are just uncomfortable then waiting until your 40 weeks is so important! There's a reason doctors can't legally induce you until 39 weeks now, unless medically necessary earlier. @bria

Well I'm glad he came out when he did because that was what was healthiest for him!! That's what people seem to forget is that there's a huge difference between having a baby early because it's HEALTHIER for him/her vs... "Self inducing" because the thought seems more CONVENIENT! I had a very healthy pregnancy (thank god) with no complications. I worked as a waitress til the Friday before my labor started (the following Monday and had her Saturday.) and I had a long labor but she was healthy and it was worth it! I truly believe that and would do it over a million times because my daughter is healthy and thriving !

agreed! sadly my doctors had me doing things to get her out early because they couldn't "justify taking her" knowing she stopped growing on the inside at 34 weeks. So I ended up with a 5lb 10oz full term baby, they had me livid.
