I feel bad for not wanting to breastfeed anymore... But it's just not for me, I already started the transition to formula. I can't deal with the soar nipples & constantly having to change my shirt. Not to mention I just can't afford to constantly buy nipple pads & creme.

btw it's true, if you really don't want to breastfeed (not because you feel like you can't, but because you truly don't want to), then don't let anyone make you feel guilty about it. Like I said, my daughter was completely formula fed and she is still as healthy as can be (she will be 3 in December). I stopped because I felt like I couldn't do it, that's the only reason I regret it.

I had the same issue (my nipples were cracked), so I called my midwife and she put in a prescription cream. the cream helped within 24 hours and it made me feel so much better. by the 2 week mark breastfeeding no longer hurt, but it actually felt like such a relief everytime.

I have had such a hard time with breastfeeding (I stopped breastfeeding my daughter after about a week and I still regret it, especially knowing that I am able to with my son).

BTW I supplement with formula because I still don't produce enough to fully satisfy my son, but with my daughter I felt like it was all or nothing, and this time I realized it doesn't have to be like that. Knowing that I can always give him a bottle of formula if he is still hungry helps me not get stressed and it also saves me money because I don't have to buy so much formula. good luck!

Maybe the baby isn't latch properly. That's what it sounds like.

Do not let anyone make you feel guilty for not breastfeeding! I had the same frustrations as you and I switched to formula and people were trying to give me tips on what to do to breastfeed and I was like I don't want to breastfeed anymore lay off hahah. Your baby will be perfectly healthy with formula. I was only formula fed and I had no health problems growing up and actually have one of the strongest immune systems in my family. If it's not for you it's not for you. Don't feel guilty! You're an amazing mom ❤️

You're welcome, just keep in mind not all babies are breastfed and they came out just fine. My sister didn't breastfeed any of her kids and they're all honor students with no health problems. So you'll be fine. I breastfed my son until he was 1 but I was forced to not work because I couldn't pump enough to leave in the daycare. But I'm doing things different with my little girl because I need to work.

Have you tried any supplements and super foods to help your supply? If not and you're interested, feel free to message me. I'd be happy to give you some tips.

@arivera64, dont pump enough to give child care for an 8 hour day.

formula costs way more than pads and cream. The soreness goes away after a few weeks. If it doesn't then that means baby isn't latching right. You could also pump instead of latching the baby on.

I'm not judging you because as long as you feed your baby.......ya know. Just trying to give you some possibly helpful info. Good luck

@mommy99630, thank you, that honestly makes me feel so much better, cus I have to go back to work too & I can't pump enough for an 8 hour day while he's in child care. Everything just so stressful

I'm on the same boat, ever since I started the formula I have been able to put her on a feeding schedule and she sleeps throughout the night. She's only 5 weeks. But I had to because I'm going back to work so I had no choice. Don't feel bad, you're still giving her nutrition.

Short Luteal Phase?

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
