so I got fired from my job today at dang near 35 weeks they always forgot to give me breaks and fired me at the end of my shift because they were busy and I guess wanted to use me before terminating me..could I sew them for emotional distress? of course I'm not going to be able to find another job before I go into labor but i still have bills I need to pay. they fired me for my attendance but gave me no warning that I was gonna exceed my limit on days missed. and I was just so upset because I didn't see it coming. what do you guys think I should do?
file for unemployment girl. i know it wont be as much as a paycheck but itd be better than nothing
It's within the 90 day period. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do outside of request to speak to the store manager
It's up to the employee to know how many days/ hours they can request or take for medical/ any type of leave. So they may be able to get you on that technicality
im not 100% sure but i dont think you can get unemployment if youve only worked there a month . id for sure make some calls tho !
I had the exact same thing happen and there was nothing I could do. What's dumb is they are the only company that i know of that does that kind of crap, they give you 4 days to miss in an entire 6 month period, if you're pregnant there's no way in hell you cant miss no more than 4 in 6 months. I'm sure you can file for unemployment if you tell them exactly what happened
