OK I'm 39 weeks and I know tmi but I am constipated and I want to take laxative but a bit scared of what may happen they say like castor oil and stuff induces labor and it can be dangerous believe me 💙 I want him out but I don't want to harm or cause problems any tips 😕

I know I've posted this before but when your water was leaking did it stay leaking or just with movements or what? Did you get contractions shortly after or no? I rolled out of bed and felt warmth leak out but Idk if it was possibly urine or what...never had it happen. It didn't smell like anything really...I know I should either call l&d or go in but I just want some experiences please. I want to wait a bit just in case it's nothing.

My doctor told me that severe constipation or diarrhea is a sign of oncoming labor o.o

Have you tried miralax? It's a natural laxative. Most doctors approve it. I have to take it like every other day 🙈😬 my constipation has sucked the whole pregnancy even before I got pregnant lol

I can tell you from personal experience that castor oil is a BAD idea

@1st_time_wonder, I actually have been having more than frequent bowel movements all the way up till 2 days ago and now all the sudden I'm constipated so hopefully u may be right and he's getting ready I goto tomorrow for my pre op because I have a scheduled c section Monday

Hmm idk about the castor oil lol do you have any coffee or tea that you could drink hot? It might help make it move a little bit. That castor oil might send you in labor or something lol @kyndallh77

It's extremely unpredictable when it comes to being pregnant and potentially including labour and potentially causing you to need an emergency c-section or having your baby stress out or even poop in your uterus which can lead to death.

Yeah, I took it with my son and it definitely sent me into labour but I had to get a csection because he was so stressed and had swallowed some 😞 I felt terrible

oh yes @phinnybinz that's Scarry I believe I will pass then I don't want that to happen at all I may just be a trooper and talk to my doc tomorrow

Hopefully they can give you something. Or if you really need the relief tonight (trust me I've been there and I feel your pain) call the nurses line and find out what they recommend. Constipation sucks
