my Mil thinks I'm posed to spend every dime I make on a baby shower. nbs now don't get me wrong of course I want a nice shower but I have other stuff I have to take care of I have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner. and my bubba is starting daycare soon.. so I'm sorry if I can't pay 300.00 on a cake idc if it's with food stamps or not. No one helps me with my kids and I refuse to allow myself to start going down hill to impress a bunch of people I don't even know period.

well you better get your cupcake cake and tell her to shove her 300 dollar cake up her butt or pay the 300 her self cause what happens when you pay for a $300 cake and what if some people don't show up or don't want cake so you pretty much wasted 300

@brie15, the sad part is I want a cupcake cake.. it's like 47 dollars but of course that's not good enough for her

smh I did my sisters and we made our own food besides a few things which didn't cost much and ordered her a nice cheap cake from walmart and made games and some decorations our self and it turned out really nice I couldn't afford it cause in limited income but I wanted to give her one and I spent most of my money on my nephews carseat but she was just thankful I threw it and didn't care it wasn't this big lavish thing but I really hope things work out for you and you can figure it out cause yeah 300 is alot for a cake cash or stamps that's dang near a week and half of food in my house lol

That sucks. I'm so sorry. Babies cost money. Maybe a cake can be made instead! Much cheaper.

@brie15, I told her that I would be better of buying her stuff myself if she think im going to be over spending on stuff. she is the kinda person that she NEEDS everybody to like her .so she goes overboard with the "idea" but has a lot of excuses when it comes to actually paying for anything

if your gonna spend that much on a shower you would be better off buying everything yourself for baby and like @expectingc said someone is supposed to throw it for you so I would tell her if she is so concerned she can throw it and pay for it a nice shower doesn't have to cost alot

I mentioned that to her and her response was she has stuff she has to take care of. so I agreed to help but it seems like when it come time to pay for anything she looking at Me to pay for it or pay her back.
