Every night around 8:30-9 I get Russell ready for bed. Daddy gives him a bath while I make his bottle and turn of the lights. When I take him in the room with me he knows it's time to sleep and sometimes he just cuddles, drinks his bottle and knocks out.. Some other times like tonight he smacks me kicks me and cries 😢 I get so upset because I don't understand why he acts this way. My husband tells me to just put him down and walk away but I don't because I know he will get over it and drink his milk, but while he's crying and smacking me all I can think of is maybe if I smacked him back he will stop.. 💔 feeling like a horrible mother tonight. He's a baby I shouldn't smack him. What do I do to better my patience with him? Help!

@tinyram09 thank you so much. I've smacked him a little before and I just feel bad, sometimes he even laughs when I do it so I thought it wasn't working. It's not till I hit him a little hard that he cries and puts his head on my shoulder he almost looks like he's ashamed. It just hurts me as a first time mommy to see him cry because I hit him but I know I gotta discipline him

he's 1 years old hun in my opinion it is absolutely 100% fine to pop his hand or butt!! and to tell him no with a lot of authority in your voice!! so that way he will understand it's not ok .i wouldnt like pop him super hard or anything but you've got to teach him young that it's not ok to hit or kick mommy or anyone else.. my oldest son is 7 years old now but when he was around 1-2 he used to do the same thing he would hit and kick and scream at me and I used to pop him.. it didn't take very many times of me popping him on his hands or butt and telling him no with that authority in my voice for him to Learn that it absolutely wasn't ok and that it absolutely 100‰ would not be tolerated for him to treat mommy like that!! it used to make me feel so bad and like I was literally the absolute WORST mom ever and I would often cry about it.. but in the end it made me a better mom and it made him a much better well behaved little boy!! you don't have to listen to me or even take my advice.. you do what makes YOU feel comfortable he is your child and you are his mom! at the end of the day trust your judgment.. only YOU know what is best for you and your son!! I hope I helped atleast a little bit by sharing my experience with you.. amd if you ever want to talk or vent please feel free to message me ANYTIME!!

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

How would you guys feel if your husband drank every night between 6 and 12 beers with children in the house. But the only time he drinks is after 7. Sometimes if he works his night job on the beach doing the tractor he comes home at midnight and starts drinking 10 beers. He doesn't get up in the morning to help with kids and is passed out on couch???? Oh and instead of pissing in a toilet when he's drinking he pisses in and old formula bottle or Gatorade bottle then pours it down the sink. But he says he not a drunk he's a good father and provides for his family. Ok but then that makes him a functioning alcoholic right? And his excuse will be he works a lot that's why he will not get up and help in the morning when he has off. No it's because you have a hang over and we're up till 3 drinking. I just don't get it. And if I say anything he gets all defensive and asks why am I starting with him. Am I wrong here is this normal and ok for him to do? He thinks it is. Oh and he has been telling me since I've been with him (almost 6 years) that he is gonna cut back and take nights off. I'm still waiting to see that happen
