I know things are going happen but today I failed as a mother - Arlo had his two week appointment today, I was a little rushed to get there on time because it was at a place we've never been. I rushed out the house not realizing I left his formula behind as well as a blanket. We get back to our room and he starts fussing so I went to make a bottle, no formula, he's now in a diaper, cold and now hungry. My no good boobs only make so much so it wasn't cutting it. I kept trying. To make things worse, he had to get pricked on his heel, now we have a screaming hungry baby than I make a comment "I'm sorry your momma failed today" and the fucking nurse says "Yeah you did." Well I left the building and broke down. I literally feel like a shitty mom right now. Oh yeh, as he's screaming David gives him a bottle of water to distract him and he ends up choking. So yeahhhh there's how my day went.

Thank you ladies, needless to say it was a stressful day, definitely a lesson learned. I'm going to pack a bag and leave it in the car and next time try not to rush so I won't forget things. As for the nurse, yeah the old me would've went off but some reason being a mother made me into a pile of mush! I seriously can't find that bad ass side of me anymore, lol.
That nurse was out of line! 😡 I'm sure you are a fine mom and just a tip that I've found useful is to have a little station in my car with back up diapers, wipes, a set of clothes, a thin muslin, and to go formula packets. I have some other things like sample cremes and stuff too. It's helpful if you run out or forget to restock the diaper bag! :)
it happens to the best of us. trust. you're damn good mom and an even better person because I woulda taken my childs diaper off and slapped the nurse with the dirty diaper just for saying some stupid shit like that but the fact that you didn't shows that you're GREAT.😉
I would of told that nurse to go fuck herself and that I wasn't speaking to her. I am a mother of 2 and one on the way and yesterday I totally forgot to bring the lunch pail for my kids and my youngest bottle, I think every mother has forgotten stuff don't beat yourself down let alone think for one second your failing as a mommy. Don't stress love you will be okay 😊😊😊😊
That happened to us one time. Our pediatrician didn't have any formula samples either, i was so mad at myself. That nurse was just plain rude, thankfully my supply hadn't fully dried up yet
@arlogreyson No, just lesson learned. There is no guide to motherhood, we are all produces of trial and error! Don't beat yourself up about it.
The nurse should've never said that! You're human and make mistakes, and they should've offered you a sample and been more helpful! Don't beat yourself up!

HELP!!! So my boyfriend hasn't came home in 24 hours he called today at 130 pm and said he was gunna be coming home soon. Its 9pm and he isnt home and his phone is off. Just so mad at my husband before we moved he promised he would put our son to bed at night and get him his bottle. Then promised that on the mornings he doesn't work or the ones he works later he would feed him breakfast so I can have my relax time before having him all day long. My SO has been rude a lot ever since I've gotten pregnant...he said he doesn't care about my pregnancy, he doesn't even take one day off from work just ONE to come to at least one ultra sound appointment. I mean he's always making sure I'm fed, he lets use the heating pad, and even apologized to saying he doesn't care. Idk if this is a little to harsh but my stepson is 2 and 7 months now the time outs are not working so I stepped it up a little and decided to take all toys away and tv away for whatever he has left of the day till bed time. Gets it taken for hitting us or throwing toys or kicking... He kicked me right in the mouth last night so he didn't get his toys till after nap and no cartoons and thats around 4pm is this to much??
