So took my 4,3,2 year olds for check up and shots today and the doctor finally witnessed my daughter whom is three throw a tantrum and try to pull her hair out. Finally they r sending her to a specialist about this problem she has. I just hope that they can help her and us. Anyone else been thru this?
id say that's anxiety then. read up on childhood anxiety disorders. you'll find a lot of helpful info.
@babyeaston191, I tried ignoring her while she pulled her hair and she ripped it out in a huge patch and it bled etc.she is severe
My best friend denied medicine they offered but she is in counseling and she makes sure she doesn't hurt herself or others but she literally ignores her and she'll stop. I guess the more entertainment you give her, she feeds off of. If she's pulling her hair out, let her and ignore her until she stops.
also if she's having anxiety attacks spanking will just make things worse. try using calming techniques instead. start playing music she enjoys and singing along with it or holding her and rocking her. get her extra daily exercise as well. if it's anxiety calming techniques and tiring her out should help some until they can get meds to help.
sounds like an anxiety issue or adhd... it's hard to diagnose anxiety disorders in young children. i have a bad anxiety disorder and that's how mine started.
talk to doctor about that possibility and just go from there.
@emileebri2522, I honestly tried spanking and time out it doesn't faze her. it's to the point I have to hold her down until she stops if not she will really hurt herself or others
@babyeaston191, how do the help control her?? any tips because my girl is getting worse and I'm about to have my baby
my daughter use to bite ppl and hit her head to and when I tell her to stop she would say no it doesn't hurt and honestly I would spank her when she did it cuz I new she didn't like it.... so when she knew pain would come out of it when she did it she would stop
@emileebri2522, any tips u could give me? we r at our losses. she pulls out her hair pinches herself scratches herself. but she also will randomly attack people or objects close to her......it's hard to deal with
I personally haven't.. but my goddaughter did. She would literally pull her hair out, bite herself and slam her head into the floor face first. They called it tantrums at first but now they're saying it's anxiety.
feel free to message me any time. i had my first anxiety attack at four. so I have some pretty decent insight 💗 good luck.
