I am so glad that this weeks topic is Angel Babies & Rainbow Babies. I want to share my story with all of you as I have with many others. Please feel free to contact me if you need to talk.
This is long, but please make sure you read all of it.
I got married late last July to the man of my dreams. At the end of August, we found out we were pregnant with our own little bundle of love. We were more than ecstatic. We wanted nothing more.
On September 22, I started to have some light spotting. We went in to see the doctor, and I was just barely 7 weeks pregnant. We got to hear our beautiful baby's faint little heart beating, and see her little gummy bear self. Of was the most exciting thing I had ever witnessed. But, within 48 hours, my world would be shattered.
I woke up the morning of September 24, 2016 at around 2 AM. All of the pain in my abdomen I had experienced the last few hours suddenly subsided. It was like a rush of relief just came over my body. I had an idea of what happened. But I chose to ignore it. When I got out of bed at 7 AM to use the restroom, nothing but blood came out. I called my husband to come home from work. We went to the ER. But we both knew the sad fact.
We sat in the ER for hours. And they did the ultrasound. They wouldn't let us see the screen. Finally the doctor came in and informed us that the screen was blank. Our baby was gone.
For reasons that I may never know, my world was ripped apart in a matter of seconds. I felt empty. God wouldn't do this.
I felt I needed to share with everyone what had happened, and I needed to talk about it, but wasn't sure how or to whom with. So I turned to Facebook.
Over the course of time, I shared my struggles, the days I couldn't get out of bed, the days I hated myself, the struggles in my marriage. I found comfort in the handfuls of other women that I was friends on Facebook with that had gone through the same thing.
Soon I started to receive messages from women I knew, and didn't know that needed advice because they were going through currently or recently went through a miscarriage. And they needed guidance.
This is what God had meant for my child.
She was here for 7 short weeks on this earth, but since her departure she has helped at least 30 women get through on of the hardest things in life. And she still continues too.
My husband and I wanted to make sure we always remembered our baby and the difference she has made in our lives as well as the lives of others who have struggled with the tragic loss of miscarriage. So we named her. We got an ornament to hang on our tree every year with 2015 on it and her name. My husband and I both wear the miscarriage awareness ribbons on our helmets at work, and I continue to share our baby's story.
So even though I'm nearing the birth of my rainbow baby, my husband and I know he will be perfect, because his big sister hand picked him for us.
Share my story. I am 1 in 4 women who suffer from miscarriage. I am here to help. Share your story.
We love you forever and always Evangaline Hope.

This is the exact same thing that happened to us!! It is the worst thing anyone can go through. We didn't name our little angel baby because we never knew if it was a he or a she. How did you know what it was???
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I understand your pain as I've had 4 miscarriages myself one of which was caused by medical malpractice. They are our angels. And our rainbow babies most definitely were hand picked by them 💕
