Any moms ever give their baby similac instead of enfamil?

I tried to breastfeed but with my girl being early plus a traumatic birth and pregnancy my mill wouldn't come in and when I finally got to actually hold my girl we found out she has a lip and tongue tie and couldn't transfer milk so it ruined our entire breastfeeding possibilities.

but, this is yet another reason why I'm breastfeeding for as long as possible.

a number of things, dirty hands, moisture being trapped in there... I saw a mother of premature twins comment on the thread I read about it and said her pediatrician told her to refrigerate the can after opening it to help prevent that type of thing.... or you can use the liquid formula (which has to be kept in the fridge after opening anyways)...

@kala_elise, what causes the bacteria to grow?

I read about that, they only did the recall as a precaution, but the formula itself wasn't to blame, it was the bacteria that grows in the can after its opened... my other kids were on it after I stopped breastfeeding and I never had any problems. you hear more about Enfamil because wic pays for it, so more people use it for that reason.

Honestly Similac was easier on her tummy but both were good.

@tater4414, which one is better? I was going to use enfamil then I read about that recall on it because some infants have died from it

we are supplementing with similac cause she was 3 1/2 weeks early and pretty small.
