So my friend is trying to change her ob.. but she can't without a recommendation from her current ob... her current ob has to give her a recommendation correct!? that's not something they can choose to do right!?

I think that as long as it's within her network, she can change it whenever she wants!!

i just called a different ob that looked up amd read comments left on her site
...i called and made an appointment. .that was it

You don't need any recommendations you just call the insurance and let them know you want to switch ob if you already have one in mind or you could even ask them to give you some different OB numbers that except your insurance
