My blood pressure went up to 153/99 at work. I got really sick so they checked it. My doctor said check it again after a hour and go to labor and delivery if it's still high. What do they do about high blood pressure this far along ? I want to make sure she's healthy.

It really depends on how high it is and your healthy history, only the dr can make that call I was induced right before 38wks I went in bc I thought my water broke but I really peed myself lol and they began inducing me right then n there
Wow that's crazy. It had been up but it's been lower the past couple weeks then today out of nowhere it goes higher than before. How long so they usually give you for it to go down before inducing you? I don't have a problem being induced as long as it's best for her health but I'd rather it go down and her come on her own. If it's consistently high they'll check you for pre eclampsia and such. They can then induce you.... But it has to be high consistently for awhile. It'll have to be high when completely relaxed and laying down. Mines been 164/110 and I'm just being induced tomorrow
they induced me and put me on seizure medicine cause my BP was so high.
They will induce you if it's too high, I went thru that with my oldest they missed the pre eclampsia and it was turning to eclampsia they induced me on the spot, try not to worry though just relax and check it again in a little while
