just a quick one .. has anyone else had their docs turn round and say they dont deal with pregnancy phone the hospital?

It's different in all areas mine u just book with the community midwife and don't see the doc

If its a definite pregnancy some doctors do say go to the early pregnancy centre or hospital as they can help u more then what the doctor can do at that time. or ring your community midwife Office x

In my area they just gave me the midwifes number and I booked appointment with them xx

they told me i have to phone the hospital i want to have baby at and they have an antenatal/midwife center there but i dont know what hospital i want to go to we havent thought that far ahead just that im pregnant and need a doctor haha thanks for the help anyway xx

Yeah that's the same case with mine. that's why I didn't bother going to my GP the last time. I went straight to early preg unit and they told me to register with the hospital online. However, at some weeks of the pregnancy, my GP was involved for routine check up. xx

even if u pick a hospital you can always change you mind an swap to another one hun some hospital will let u have a look arnd if not to busy aswell. x

What?! I had to go to my GP for him to refer me to a midwife

I went to my GP and he referred me to the midwife. I had my booking appt at 9 weeks then xx

I got told my Dr's don't deal with pregnancy unless I'm in two minds what to do. I have to go online and self refer for a midwife appointment @misstori1992 xx
