so sad and they still haven't recalled the formula!!!😲😧😠
Thank gif I was able to breastfeed for 3 months because I honestly didn't know that powered formula was so dangerous. When I substituted I used liquid formula though. This is so heartbreaking. I wish they educated more about these types of things.
@savanahr777, i also did a lot of reading on the issue and found out the same...the bacteria can also be found in numerous other places and all can formulas at least 3 to 4 infants a year gets the disease and one often will not make it...i fed my son powder formula from 1 month old 10 years ago bc i didnt know. The hospital supplies liquid, but why is the government sponsored program giving away powder formula to needy families and y to the formula companies make powder can infant/newborn brands that needs to stop...im definitely not giving this baby powder until shes at least 4 months....smdh
@princessvictoria, I agree with that 100% and the fact that they make a powder form in the nb is kinda annoying to me
@savanahr777 yeah I understand but but a lot of people don't know that there not suppose to formula feed there Newborn powder formula.... I didn't know that when I had my other 3 kids . this time around I have ebf. no bottles nothing . so maybe they should educated new mommies to prevent this from happening... and since they don't have to report any of these to people that's y nobody knows
Not defending anyone because this situation totally sucks, but the bacteria they say was in the formula could potentially be found in any brand, and also not bashing the mother or any mother that uses powder formula however they recommend not using the powder until the baby is 3 mo because if the formula does contain the bacteria their bodies are too little and not strong enough to fight it. Again this situation sucks but after looking into it for myself I have been educated just in case I have to formula feed my new little one like I did my first. I hope and pray that this family can find peace.
@kandice_stedman86 they said Walmart took them off the shelves but they hasn't been. recall
on the link click on the girls profile and she explains everything and has testimony from other moms
im doing some research now, how did the doctors know that infection was caused by the formula? did they test it?
I think it is just the brand bc my son has been on powdered formula since he was a newborn but has been taking Gerber Good Start and it has not caused the issues that the Enfamil or Similac has caused when he took it.
