honestly I used depends (so I wouldn't ruin my regular undies) and a pad while I was in the hospital,  so about 4 days and then after that,  my normal undies and a pad.

you'll want to use the hospital pads for awhile but after the bleeding let's down some then it's just your personal preference

I didnt have a c-section but I got the always night guard I think they're called. They're are huge but comfy and served their purpose.
