I swear by adult diapers for right after baby.... Also comfy clothes. Multiple sleeping options in case baby does not like one vs another, patience lots and lots of patiences! :)

mattress protective pad for crib and then you put the fitted sheet over, blankets, socks,onesis, a bouncer ,swing, never leave the baby unattended while changing the diaper they can move  so quick even as a newborn
