Funny you posted this @sweetsesame as I've just had my second & read how small their stomach was the 1st few weeks & thought I never knew that 1st time around!

Me either which means the recommendations on tins of formula may be quite wrong! The midwife at antenatal class mentioned it but I had idea that this was the reality @sara-lou

I was still told around 2-3oz every 2-3hrs for the first few weeks. When Max has still been hungry for more he's not been able to hold an extra ounce so I offer it a little while after...

A baby who is clearly still hungry is understandable @sara-lou but midwife mentioned that babies don't always know when they are full especially if formula fed hence why some can be sick after a feed, it may be from being too full rather than reflux?

my little girl is 2 weeks now and she has 5oz every feed?! but it's every 4/5 hours. I no they are all different but seeing this I feel like she's on to much now, it is breast milk at the minute dont no if that makes a difference x

Midwife says breast milk is different as baby can digest that a lot quicker and easier than formula which is why they recommend not trying to having a feeding schedule with breast whereas formula stretches baby's tummy too soon so I wouldn't worry Hun if she's having that much breast milk x @summertimebaby16
