Does every pregnancy have Braxton Hicks? How far along where some of you ladies when you first got…

I got Braxton hicks since I was 18 weeks. I have had to put up with them all this time. I'm 36 weeks now. Idk if every pregnancy has them though. I didn't have them with my other daughter. I just went straight into labour.

@adrianamead, what exactly do they feel like? Sometimes I'll just get a weird pain in my vagina, it doesn't last long but it's just never happened before I don't really know what it is.

@kcp1997 I started getting them around 30 weeks and It feel like something in my stomach is tightening It does not hurt me at all but everyone is different they usually go away within seconds.

@mommytofour, it only happens once in a while, it doesn't really hurt, it's just a bit uncomfortable .

It feels like your tummy gets hard and tight. If you lay Down for example you will see your belly go from a round soft relaxed stage to this weird looking hard ball. If you touch it, you can feel how hard it is. Your uterus just cramps up. It's not really in the vagina. What I felt in my vagina where like sharp knife pains or stabs and that is called round pain ligament. Your ligaments stretch out and pull due to your growing uterus. My Braxton hicks have come to a stage where not only my belly gets super hard and I feel this tight burning sensation on it, but now that sensation spreads from the belly around and back to my spine. It's like a wave of pain that starts on the top of my belly- belly- around my belly- and moves backwards till it ends in my spine and hugs my hips.

I'm 41 weeks and haven't had a single one.

They shouldn't hurt, but can a little. when you feel like baby is balling up or your stomach gets hard, that's a Braxton hick
