so I have a question ,, I am high risk my boss has lowered my hours at work because of me being high risk and the stress at work. but I only work 12 hours a week I am a waitress and the food Stamp company sends out the paper work asking if my hours and stuff have changed , and I don't know what to do. will they shut me off because I don't work 20 hours. and will they shut me off when I go on maternity leave because I won't be working .
If you go to school, they can deny your food stamp benefits. My advisor told me I have to work at least 20 hours if I go to school in order to qualify
You would get more. You don't need to work to get foodstamps only need to work or out looking for work to receive cash assistance
thank you ladies . I am going to have to call and talk to them and yes I live in kansas.
I don't think they will shit it off mama, explain the situation about being high risk and that you can't work as much as you used to....
Actually look into where you live. Everywhere is different. You should be able to receive as long as you have income in. Here in Ga next year, you will be required to have a job or some kind of income to qualify for food stamps and to stay on the program. Your maternity leave should not affect it.
and that the only reason they put me on it is cause I'm pregnant but do they expect me to work that much being high risk??
That's what I thought too I'm just so afraid of getting shut off because of me not working the 20 hours that they recommend
no they wil give u more
