Bed rest counts. Just call Cigna and talk to them about it. With short term disability there is also a waiting period before it starts paying out.

@nicipicky, they deny people for all kind of stupid reasons its crazy , and they don't seem to care ...

@kenitra, yes I have short term disability thru cigna that I pay out my weakly pay from work maternity leave is covered but I took off early because of medical concerns , I was placed on bed rest until I deliver I'm just scared that's not enough for them ..

Do you have short term disability through Cigna? The best way to find out exactly what you will get is to call your company's benefits department. They can tell you everything. It would be a corporate benefits center with your company. In Florida, you usually only get partially paid maternity leave with short or long term disability insurance.

What have you read about it? We have Cigna too and my husband plans on using his paternity leave when the baby arrives.
