Omg I know. My first Christmas down here I was snapping pictures and sending them home-the lights and Santa Claus' looked so out of place. I miss the crisp air and HOODIES AND JEANS!! I feel like I had so much more to do up there than down here. I miss just cruising around with my windows down. I hate the AC I love fresh air but it's an absolute must down here-uhh I hate how slow people are down here 😳 I still haven't learned to slow down yet it's been 5 years but feels like centuries. And YES so much history and it's ALL over. I miss going to Salem and Vermont in the fall and the leaves and witting hidden messages on the cold windows with my breath. Lol. And wood stoves and chimneys. It makes me sad just listing it all-too much to list

And most of all, I miss when Christmas felt like Christmas because it's cold and snowy

@lindsey89, omg yess to everything you just said! 😭 I want to build a snowman!!! I wanna make snow angels! And have snowball fights! And drive down the back roads past the cornfields and see the beautiful foliage and yes, go rock climbing and feel the soft grass and the chill in the air first thing in the morning...and ice skating, omg! I miss that so much. And rollerblading at the skating rink and sitting outside without the fear of God knows what coming up and biting you....😧😧😧 I have been here 15 years and there are some things I will never stop missing. I don't like most of the people there...I just miss things about the place. And even the architecture, the centuries old houses I grew up in with dumbwaiters and hidden doors and history behind everything. Homesick af.

@mrsmccormick, I'm from Massachusetts as well!! God I'm so home sick its disgusting. I hate it down here. It's too damn hot I hate the bugs I'm petrified of bees like phobia petrified. I miss when it rains it's cools down and the smell is amazing the bugs down here are from the Jurassic era. The grass kills my skin because ITS NOT GRASS it's WEEDS!! I miss my back roads and little town and BIG ROCKS to climb..I want to ice skate sooo bad and in singing voice "I wanna build a snowman" I'd SO rather drive in snow than in this horrible rain that comes out of NOWHERE and floods everything because it's glad af--what a culture shock it is

I feel like this is how people want the world to slowly come to an end!!!! Like i know we have to keep the chain going and all but at this point im just like....start killing some bugs😑👌🏼

would spreading your years with the bug killer stuff you get at the does help I'd at least try that to keep all the pesky critters away fall is my favorite time to

@maxie, ugh yeah I wish I didn't just read the news. I don't know why I bother. But at least now we know. It looks like a slug to me. So, I guess if I see anything that even remotely resembles a slug or one of these nasty ass killer worms, it's going down. The only safe way to kill them is with boiling water.

@mdomke22, lol if only it were just bees, I'd be such a happy camper!! Haha We have tons of honey bees, but they never bother us at all. It's the wasps I can't stand! Another thing I don't like about SouthWest Fl is, we have 2 seasons. Super crazy boiling hot and 100% humidity, and super Crazy boiling hot with less humidity. I miss fall and winter 😧 I grew up in Massachusetts and fall and winter were my favorite seasons.

I think the scariest thing I deal with here is bees 😂😂 like fr I've considered moving down south because I'm just so tired of the winters here... but then I think about the bugs down there and I'm like ehhh 😣😣😣

@mdomke22, seriously! And those are just some of the poisonous creepy crawlies lurking around. I haven't even touched on how many disgusting bugs there are. I'm honest to God sooo sick of Florida. Give me the mountains and blizzards anytime. I'd do much rather deal with that than poisonous bugs and snakes.and hurricanes and tornadoes!
