PCOS and Weight Loss Struggles: 53-Year-Old's Journey on Metformin and Low-Carb Diet
I dont eat carbs and go on walks evedy day on top of taking metformin to control my insulin. I'm not even that big and I hate being overweight. I'm only 5'3" at 165 lbs and I feel so bad about myself and no matter what I do I can't seem to lose the weight.): PCOS is a bitch and 40lbs to lose seems almost impossible at this point. This is the biggest I've ever been and it's enough to make me want to cry. 😢😢😢

Hi :) I am the exact same height and weight as you, and have pcos -- have had it for about two years now and am currently trying for baby #1 with my husband. Moving around with the military doesn't make it easier! Just letting you know that I feel ya but all we can do is try hard and love on ourselves before and after our health changes! ❤️ all the best of luck to you!

@brishug that's exactly where we are! We are taking a break on the baby making though. Thank you! And no, but I'm kind of seeing a fertility specialist. That's just who my doctor on base referred me to.

you aren't alone. PCOS was behind my ability to lose weight and I did not know I even had it until Jan. 2105. I know how you feel. this is the biggest I have ever been in my life and I cry about it all the time. I am not on metformin anymore though it never helped me. I'm 5'3 and 306 lbs. I have had back to back pregnancies since last year so as soon as I have my son and I am cleared for exercise again I am making a drastic change. just know especially on here you are not alone. so many of us suffer from PCOS and I am sure would not mind talking about it. also maybe ask your fertility specialist for Clomid. that's how I conceived my daughter last year. one round was all it took.
