been having contractions since 8 p.m some are arereally painful and some not so much. they will range anywhere between 3 and almost 10 minutes apart. how will I know when I'm in active labor?

@ang20, oh ok. yea I had my membrane swept today. this is the longest I've had contractions. but they're really inconsistent

@annettasmommy, I had the same thing go on I had contractions so bad it woke me up it happened all day an night than the next day at 8am my water broke

I know that but I've been sent home from l&d twice thinking I'm in labor when I'm not. they said 3-5 minutes apart and in tears. I just don't want to get turned away again

When your dilated past 4 cm

@annettasmommy, mine were inconsistent to. It started on my due date an had her the day after. I didn't have anything done just did a lot of bouncing on a ball relaxing an praying for her to come before my induction day which she did lol.
